FAQs

Q?

How will i know my Alarm System is working properly?

A.

The transmitter in your Alarm Response & Monitoring system carries out a self-test every 24 hours to ensure its optimum use. You should avoid false alarms as a means of testing the smooth running of our response. Instead, call the Control Room and inform them that you wish to test the alarm. Once you press the button the Controller will give you your name – that way you will know for certain if the alarm is working.

Q?

What do i do if an officer does not report on duty?

A.

Where we have 24-hour coverage, the Security Officer on duty will communicate to the Eccel  Control Room. He or she shall be replaced only after a replacement officer is introduced to the customer within the shortest time possible.

Q?

What kind of Equipment do Security Officer carry?

A.

Although equipment depends on their training and instructions of a particular assignment, all Eccel Security Officers are issued with uniform, a whistle, a baton and a torch.
Security Officers protecting commercial and retail premises are trained in the implementation of preventative screening measures and the use of metal detectors and vehicle search mirrors. Eccel Security sells this equipment and offers training on its use. We also provide written standard operating procedures to Security Officers for guidance on handling assignments and equipment as per client expectations.
